Matching game

I’m sure most of you have tried or at least heard of matching lipstick colours with blush or nails, but do you know it is totally cool to play matching games of your ear candies with colourful painted lips?

So how to pick a winning pair? First you need a pair of statement earrings – bold colours, strong lines or unique designs are the go-to ones. Then pick the lip colour that matches or even slightly lighter than the earring colour for a subtle look, or go for a contrast colour for a bold and fun look!

From top left: Flamingo earrings, Topshop. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in L’ECLATANTE. Golden ball earrings, H&M. Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro in 300. White acrylic earrings with gems, Marni for H&M. Chanel Rouge Allure in EXTATIQUE. Multi-colour bumble bee earrings, Forever 21. CLINIQUE Chubby Stick Intense in Grandest Grape. Blue and green gem earrings, Zara. Maybelline Vivids COLOR SENSATIONAL in Electric Orange. Charcoal crystal ear cuffs, Topshop. Stila Stay all Day Vinyl Lip Glass in Hot Pink Vinyl. Black beaded earrings, H&M. CoverGirl Lipstain in EMBRACE.

Fall colours

I am so in love with this olive-ish green colour right now, you can play with this colour on your eyes by adding on a touch of sparkly brown and gold for a subtle edgy look, without looking too overly done. A warm peachy blush and matching lip colour will give you a complete healthy look.

Chanel Les Beiges powder is very sheer and it gives the right amount of coverage with a healthy glow! I’m using No. 20 for my skin colour. The Revlon Photoready shadow palette in 535 Pop Art is very well-edited, it has EVERYTHING you will need for your eyes, and the packaging is just so fun! YSL Crème de Blush in No. 1 is a very soft peachy colour, and it is so easy to apply, just use your fingers to dab and blend on your cheeks. To match with this warm blush colour, I’m using Chanel Rouge Coco 57 Mystique. It has the same peachy tone and will not over powering the eye make-ups. I’m also wearing the Chanel Le Vernis 601 Mysterious – the dark green khaki colour on my nails.
