Starting My Day with Barre

Having a great workout session is always a good way to get my Monday started. I have been doing barre at Barre Body Studio for over a year and half now, and I am still feeling good doing it during my pregnancy. Barre is a combination of ballet, pilate and yoga, the isolation movements help to build up long and lean muscles, as well as improving my posture and flexibility. I am not sure when I will stop going to barre since I am reaching my last trimester, but working out is really important during pregnancy – it helps to burn those extra calories that both the baby and I don’t need, gives me positive energy and I am sure it will help me during labour too.

Black Rose Wonders

Sisley has always been one of my favourite skin care brands. I have been using these two products from its Black Rose range for a while now, they do wonderful things for my skin, especially now that I am pregnant, so my skin became very sensitive and picky on certain stuff that I use.

Both of the Black Rose Face Oil and Black Rose Cream Mask are rich in anti-aging ingredients that give the skin an instant glow from within. I use the face oil every night after my toner followed by a 3-5 minutes mini facial massage – I warm up 5-8 drops of the oil in between my palms and use upwards and circular strokes from the centre of the face outwards to my ears. And on my neck, I massage the oil in from the collar bones up to my chin. Remember to use long and firm strokes while working the oil in until it is completely absorbed.

I use the Black Rose Cream Mask as my secret “youth booster” before going out for date nights or parties. It only needs 15 minutes to get rid of signs of fatigue and always leaves my skin looking energized and glowing.

Brrr…

Winter days in Calgary are no joke! I am trying to cover up as much as I can whenever I’m out.

Block Party

Chunky block heels are in (in fact they never go out of date)! From elegant pumps to sandals with straps to ankle booties that you could wear in fall, the block heels are so stylish with a twist of easy chic. Are you a fan of the block party? I am, that’s for sure ❤

Side Slit Skirt

These days a knee-length skirt is totally my thing! The shape of the skirt is sophisticated and emphasises the curves as well, making me look taller (first world problem :P). A thigh-high slit is like that “cherry on the top”, it adds enough sexiness but also stays classy. The skirt (I’m wearing) in the photos has a centre slit, but I wear it on the side for my day time look. ❤
