A Taste of the Holidays

The holiday season is right around the corner (yahhh…), there’s nothing more special than sitting around the table with families and enjoying a great Christmas dinner!

Here’s an easy-to-follow recipe of home-made cranberry sauce for a taste of the holidays!

You need:

3 cups (12 onces/340g) fresh or frozen cranberries 

1 cup (200g) brown sugar

3 1/2 cups (700ml) water 

A little orange zest to taste (optional)

Here’s how you can make it:

Rinse cranberries. Mix brown sugar, cranberries and water in a saucepan. Bring to boil for 10 minuets until the cranberries’ skins start to pop. Add in orange zest. Continuing simmer the mixture and stir often to prevent the sauce from sticking to the saucepan. Remove from heat when the sauce starts to get thick. Whala! It is done! So easy right?! You can serve it warm with turkey dinner or put it in a jar to refrigerate.

You also can put a little decor on the jar to make this tasty home-made cranberry sauce a great gift to friends and family!
